Yahoo! Search Soars in Japan

Searches on Yahoo! sites grew 13% year-over-year in January - in Japan. Google sites, including YouTube grew just 5%. There is a caveat. Can Google read Javascript redirects?  Mar 9, 2009
I have a site that employs redirects using windows.location.replace. Can link equity follow this? If I replace these redirects with 301 redirects, I am afraid that it might take some time for our link equity to catch up. Any advice?
